• Provides nursing care according to the medical regimen and standards, including ambulatory patients.
• Completes ongoing assessments and updates nursing diagnoses as patient condition evolves.
• Assesses, plans and implements care of assigned patients and performs therapeutic interventions.
• Documents care, assessments and patient progress per standards and policies.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/BLS as required.
• Provides patient/family teaching and discharge planning support.
• Maintains patient records and uses computer systems to document care.
• Supervises LPN and other staff, and participates in orientation and training.
• Transports patients, specimens, equipment and supplies as needed for care.
