Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Production Operator for our Newark, Delaware facility on the weekend shift. This full-time position involves hands-on, high-volume manufacturing in a fast-paced cell, including pouring molds, de-molding, cleaning, and preparing products for shipment.

You will alternate between 3x12 and 4x12 schedules with a $2.10 shift differential, emphasizing accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Able to get along well with others.
• Basic proficiency in data entry
• Good communication (oral and written) skills.
• Ability to keep accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Identify and build molds according to the casting schedule.
• Assist in building loads for carbonization kilns.
• Assist in breaking down carbonization kiln loads.
• Clean infiltrated product using grit-blasting machines per procedure.
• Maintain grit-blasting machines with basic preventive and routine maintenance (daily).
• Follow standard work procedures and detailed instruction.
• Prioritize in a multi-task work cell.
• Keep accurate written documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
• Assist in preparing and breaking down furnace loads.
• All other duties, as assigned.
