WebstaurantStore is seeking a Weekend Shift Manager to lead our warehouse operations, overseeing inbound and outbound activities, order picking, packing, and loading for ground and carrier shipments. You will drive safety, quality, and service, while coordinating staffing and workflow to ensure on-time order fulfillment.

You will train and coach a team, monitor key metrics, and collaborate with department leaders to resolve issues and implement improvements.

Qualifications

2-3 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
Experience in warehouse or distribution center operations is desirable.
Strong communication and coaching skills to develop team members.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Weekend Shift Manager oversees the facility’s inbound and outbound operations. Including order picking, consolidation, packing, and loading for both ground shipping and common carrier shipments, replenishment, inventory control, and put away. The main objective of the Weekend leadership team is to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and on time while maintaining high safety, quality, and service standards. The Weekend Manager drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, optimize processes, and ensure effective staffing and workflow coordination. This role collaborates closely with other department leaders and shift management to maintain compliance with all protocols and SOPs, resolve operational challenges, and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence.

Responsibilities

OPERATIONAL

Oversee the day-to-day operations within both outbound and inbound departments, including order picking, consolidation, packing, loading, and coordination of ground shipping and common carrier shipments, replenishment, inventory control, and put away.
Train, coach, and develop team members to achieve operational goals and maintain high performance standards.
Work closely with the leadership team to monitor daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for outbound operations and identify and resolve operational issues as needed.
Provide clear, consistent communication to all teams on company policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
Lead and participate in weekly and monthly meetings to review metrics, discuss areas of improvement, address employee relations issues, and share updates on initiatives and projects.
Analyze opportunities for improvement, including productivity growth, cost reduction, order accuracy, load efficiency, and overall process effectiveness.

PEOPLE

Ensure the timely completion of all employee performance reviews and provide frequent, constructive feedback to support continued growth and engagement.
Engage regularly with employees to promote a positive, safe, and compliant work environment.
Promptly complete all administrative duties related to employee management to the expected standard.

LEADERSHIP

Collaborate with the facility’s leadership team to meet the needs of the distribution center and foster a strong team mentality.
Partner with Team Leads and Assistant Managers to create development plans for employees, maintaining engagement and building a strong leadership pipeline.
Demonstrate integrity and honesty, modeling the company’s core values for all employees.
Serve as a leader not only for the outbound department but for the entire distribution center, holding peers, managers, and employees accountable to expectations.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Experience

2-3 years of relevant warehouse experience is desired.
Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.

Education
