Job summary

WebstaurantStore in Sparks, NV seeks an Outbound Operations Manager to oversee order picking, consolidation, packing, and loading for ground and carrier shipments across all shifts. You will partner with DC leadership to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while driving continuous improvement.

Reporting to the DC General Manager, you will mentor the outbound team, manage performance, and lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize end-to-end workflow and achieve high-performance results.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; ability to concisely explain technical concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change.
  • Ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all outbound operations across all shifts, including order picking, consolidation, packing, and loading for both ground shipping and common carrier shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards, including regulatory requirements, SOPs, and company policies.
  • Implement, monitor, and continuously improve operational processes and strategic initiatives to drive efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Analyze operational metrics, identify trends, and develop solutions to optimize performance across shifts and departments.
  • Lead change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes, systems, or technology within the outbound operations team.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including inbound, inventory control, and transportation, to resolve operational challenges and optimize end-to-end workflow.
  • Develop, mentor, and coach team members and leadership across all shifts to build strong operational capabilities and a high-performance culture.
  • Promote employee engagement, empowerment, and problem-solving at all levels of the outbound team.
  • Oversee performance management, including evaluations, feedback, and development plans, ensuring accountability and growth across the team.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and compliant work environment, engaging regularly with employees to address concerns and reinforce expectations.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects that impact multiple shifts or departments, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Serve as the senior leader for all outbound operations, reporting directly to the Distribution Center General Manager (DCGM).

Job Summary

The Outbound Operations Manager oversees all outbound operations across all shifts, including order picking, consolidation, packing, and loading for both ground shipping and common carrier shipments. Reporting directly to the Distribution Center General Manager (DCGM), this role is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards while driving continuous improvement and strategic initiatives. The Outbound Operations Manager implements and monitors operational changes, fosters a culture of accountability and empowerment, and develops problem-solving capabilities across the team. This role partners with leadership across the facility to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and promote a high-performance, collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.
Experience
  • 2-3 years of relevant warehouse experience is desired.
  • Previous management experience is required.
