Job summary

Father Bill's & MainSpring is seeking a regular part-time support staff member for the Middleborough, MA shelter program. The role covers weekend shifts with responsibilities for safety, intake and supportive engagement of guests.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and CPR/First Aid (AED may be required). Prior residential setting experience is a plus; CPR is provided by FBMS as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required.
• AED and First Aid may be required.
• Experience in a residential setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of guests and site.
• Enforce rules and regulations to ensure smooth operation of the site.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, document appropriately and communicate according to the established guidelines.
• Complete intake process.
• Provide support and structure, being attentive to guest/resident problems or concerns.
• Initiate crisis intervention when necessary.
• Record documentation as required by program guidelines.
• Attend and actively participate in meetings and trainings as requested.
• Monitor security cameras.
• Communicate concerns regarding behaviors, health and safety to appropriate staff/personnel.
• Monitor entry to site and telephones with the upmost professionalism.
• Maintain privacy of resident/guest information in accordance with agency policies, procedures and practices and as required by law.
• Complete all shift tasks according to program guidelines.
• Complete inspections as required by guidelines.
• Empathy, professionalism, communication, record-keeping, job knowledge, attendance, reliability, initiative, and adherence to policy.
