Job summary

Hildebrand is seeking a Residential Assistant for a part-time, limited-time position in Cambridge, MA. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment for families in residence at the shelter.

You will support program operations, monitor rules and safety, assist with housing readiness activities, and participate in staff meetings and trainings to fulfill mission.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Human Services or residential program setting preferred.
• Ability to work with clients and maintain confidentiality; able to lift 25 pounds and navigate stairs.
• CPR/SFA Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Bilingual Haitian Creole or Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote a clean, harmonious living environment for families in residence.
• Ensure each family has a safe, clean, adequately furnished room.
• Oversee cleanliness and orderliness during shifts; conduct checks and maintain office area.
• Enforce rules, policies, and procedures; ensure compliance with Hildebrand requirements.
• Support Re-Housing Plan activities (job search, resumes, housing applications).
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings to stay current with program operations.
• Follow agency rules and systems to meet residents’ goals.
