Job summary

Hildebrand Family Self-Help Center, Inc. in Greater Boston seeks a Residential Assistant to support families in residence at our congregate shelter. You will promote a safe, clean living environment and help ensure rooms are safe and furnished, while assisting with program goals like housing search and resumes.

You will work closely with managers and case workers, participate in required meetings, and help uphold the program's rules, policies, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in Human Services or residential programs preferred.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and navigate stairs.
• CPR/SFA certification within 30 days of hire.
• Bilingual Haitian Creole or Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and model a clean, harmonious, and welcoming living environment, supporting safety and well-being.
• Ensure each family has a safe, clean and adequately furnished room.
• Oversee facility cleanliness, conduct checks during shifts, and maintain office area.
• Monitor rules and policies to ensure compliance with Hildebrand's requirements.
• Support Rehabilitation and Re-Housing Plan activities to assist families with housing goals.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and required program activities.
• Follow agency rules and systems to meet residents' goals.
