Job summary

Allied Universal in San Diego, CA is seeking a Security Officer – Weekend Office Building Patrol for a part-time schedule with fixed anchor shifts and a six-month commitment. This role offers reliable weekend hours at an assigned site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

Responsibilities include providing customer service to residents and staff, patrolling areas, monitoring access, and responding to incidents with calm professionalism.

Qualifications

• State, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed; 21+ for armed positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of shelter common areas, entry points, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and shift activity to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
