Job summary

Allied Universal in San Diego, CA is seeking a Security Officer for overnight weekend patrol (part-time). The role focuses on patrolling technology facilities, building a visible security presence, and providing customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

You will document observations, respond to alarms, and complete daily reports while adhering to site procedures. Must meet age, education, background check, drug screen, and licensing requirements as applicable.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal, state, local laws.
• Drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities and parking areas and report maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity to support authorized access.
• Respond to incidents and alarms; document observations and communicate with site contacts and responders.
• Complete daily activity reports and shift handoffs per site requirements.
