Allied Universal in Charleston, SC is seeking a part-time Security Officer for weekend shifts. You will provide customer service, monitor access, conduct unarmed patrols of loading areas and perimeter, and document activities using mobile tools.

This role emphasizes reliability, clear communication, and a safe environment for employees and visitors. Requirements include at least one year of security-related experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and background/drug screening as required

Qualifications

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Site has limited on-site facilities and may include portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Background checks and drug screening are required by law where applicable.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel per procedures and policies.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, distribution spaces, access points, and perimeter.
Monitor access to the site, verify authorized entry, and report unusual activity.
Document patrols, incidents, and observations and communicate with site leadership.
