Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Customer Access in Summerville, SC. You will provide customer service, monitor entrances, and maintain a visible security presence at a logistics and distribution site.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, conducting patrols, verifying authorizations, and documenting activity. A high school diploma and recommended background screening apply; flexible weekend shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background investigations will be conducted as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly, documenting activities per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
• Maintain daily activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership.
