Job summary

Deer Park Health and Rehabilitation seeks an experienced RN to lead the weekend nursing team (Fri–Sun) as Weekend RN Supervisor. You will supervise staff, oversee patient care, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining high-quality outcomes.

The role requires NC RN licensure, 5+ years nursing, including leadership experience, with CPR/BLS; ACLS preferred. You will collaborate with physicians and administration to ensure seamless weekend operations and strong patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience in an acute care, long-term care, or relevant healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities.
• CPR and BLS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Staff management: supervise and lead nursing staff during weekend shifts; manage scheduling for weekend shifts.
• Patient care oversight: monitor patient conditions, review care plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Clinical leadership: provide guidance and support to nursing staff and promote continuous improvement.
• Problem resolution: address clinical or operational issues arising on weekends; serve as escalation point.
• Documentation & compliance: ensure accurate nursing documentation and support audits.
• Training and development: mentor and develop nursing staff with opportunities for skill enhancement.
• Collaboration: work with physicians and administrative staff to ensure smooth weekend operations.
• On-call support: be available for urgent issues outside of regular shifts.
