Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in TX.
• Greater than 1 year of RN experience preferred.
• 1 year of RN experience in any setting required.
• 1 year in psychiatric/recovery programs preferred.
• Some experience as a charge RN or leadership position preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training provided on hire).

Responsibilities

• Anticipates census changes and allocates nursing resources based on acuity.
• Role models customer service and prioritizes patient safety.
• Enforce policies for delivery of patient and resident care.
• Ensure staffing per unit with appropriate ratios and coverage for call-offs.
• Maintain MARs, charts, log entries, and nursing assessments up to date.
• Complete rounds at shift start and perform random audits.
• Mentor and train staff; ensure orientation and competency.
• Coordinate care with physicians and orders; ensure consultations are ordered.
• Administer medications and maintain records per policy.
• Lead admissions and discharges; adjust staffing as needed.
• Coordinate with administrator-on-call for elevated situations.
• Provide direct patient care as needed.
