Job summary

Red River Hospital in Wichita Falls, TX, is seeking an Outpatient Registered Nurse (Behavioral Health) for a full-time day shift. The RN will provide and coordinate care for patients with behavioral health needs, develop care plans, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Texas or eligibility.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral experience preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health needs and coordinate care.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and treatment.
• Document care and ensure orders are followed per policy.
• Administer medications and document administration accurately.
• Maintain therapeutic rapport and professional boundaries with patients.
