Job summary

Acclaim Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced RN Weekend Supervisor to join our leadership team. This part-time weekend role focuses on supervising weekend shifts, mentoring staff, and ensuring high-quality resident care in a Jersey City facility.

The ideal candidate holds an active New Jersey RN license, with at least 2 years in long-term care or rehabilitation and a minimum of 1 year in nursing supervision. CPR certification and strong leadership abilities are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, active RN license in the State of New Jersey.
• Minimum of 2 years of long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience.
• At least 1 year of nursing supervisory experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and clinical oversight during weekend shifts.
• Support the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing with daily operations.
• Supervise, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Ensure high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participate in surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Monitor resident care plans and assist with discharge planning.
• Coordinate staffing assignments to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Conduct rounds to evaluate resident care and staff performance.
• Address clinical concerns and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist with admissions and ensure a smooth transition for new residents.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Oversee medication administration and treatment accuracy.
• Perform resident assessments and provide direct patient care as needed.
• Assist with staff coaching, evaluations, and ongoing education.
• Support additional nursing and operational responsibilities as assigned.
