Job summary

Excelsior Care Group in Jersey City, NJ, seeks an experienced RN Weekend Supervisor for Acclaim Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. This part-time weekend leadership role focuses on clinical oversight, mentoring nursing staff, and ensuring smooth weekend operations.

Join a dedicated team delivering resident-centered care, coordinating with physicians, and guiding RNs, LPNs, and CNAs while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• RN license active in New Jersey.
• Minimum 2 years in long‑term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation.
• At least 1 year of nursing supervisory experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekend leadership and clinical oversight.
• Support the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing with daily operations.
• Supervise, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Ensure high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participate in surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Monitor resident care plans and assist with discharge planning.
• Coordinate staffing assignments to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Conduct rounds to evaluate resident care and staff performance.
• Address clinical concerns and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist with admissions and ensure a smooth transition for new residents.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Oversee medication administration and treatment accuracy.
• Perform resident assessments and provide direct patient care as needed.
• Assist with staff coaching, evaluations, and ongoing education.

What You'll Do

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current, active RN license in the State of New Jersey
• Minimum of 2 years of long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience
• At least 1 year of nursing supervisory experience
• Current CPR certification
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced clinical environment
