Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support weekend nursing staff.

Facility: Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Location: Boynton Beach, FL
Schedule: Part-Time | Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Pay: $37–$42 per hour, depending on experience

About the Role

Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Weekend RN/LPN Supervisor to oversee weekend nursing operations and support safe, high-quality resident care. Working closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will provide leadership, support nursing staff, and address resident care needs within your licensed scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff during weekend shifts.
• Monitor staffing coverage and coordinate appropriate nursing assignments.
• Conduct rounds to assess resident care and identify concerns.
• Ensure medications, treatments, and physician orders are carried out appropriately.
• Provide direct nursing care within your licensed scope of practice.
• Monitor changes in residents’ conditions and communicate concerns to the appropriate provider and nursing leadership.
• Document resident care, reportable events, and required notifications according to facility policies.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans.
• Address staff concerns and elevate issues to the DON as needed.
• Support nursing policies, procedures, survey readiness, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate nursing care with residents’ activities and other scheduled services.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Previous nursing home or skilled nursing facility experience required.
• At least two years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• At least six months of rehabilitative or restorative nursing experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize resident needs, and manage weekend nursing operations effectively.
