Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Winter Park in Maitland, FL is seeking an experienced Weekend Nursing Supervisor (LPN/RN) to provide clinical leadership and oversee nursing operations during weekend shifts.

The Florida-licensed RN or LPN will lead a team of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, collaborate with the DON/ADON, ensure resident safety, accuracy of meds and orders, conduct rounds, and support admissions and care planning.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN or LPN license.
• Nursing degree or diploma from accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in skilled nursing, long‑term care, rehabilitation, restorative care, or geriatric nursing.
• At least 1 year of nursing supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to resident‑centered care and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on clinical leadership and supervision to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff.
• Partner with DON and ADON to ensure smooth weekend nursing operations.
• Monitor staffing levels and adjust to maintain resident care coverage.
• Conduct nursing rounds and monitor the quality of resident care.
• Ensure medications, treatments, and physician orders are administered accurately and per policy.
• Assist with resident assessments and provide direct nursing care when needed.
• Monitor changes in residents' conditions and ensure appropriate follow‑up and communication.
• Participate in physician rounds and communicate clinical concerns to providers and nursing leadership.
• Support admissions and ensure smooth transitions into the facility.
• Assist with individualized care plans and discharge planning.
• Address staff concerns, resident complaints, and grievances professionally.
• Coach, mentor, and support nursing staff to promote teamwork and development.
• Participate in staff evaluations and performance management as needed.
• Promote compliance with Florida regulations, state survey requirements, infection prevention standards, and facility policies.
• Assist leadership with state surveys, inspections, audits, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Rehabilitation Center of Winter Park is seeking an experienced and compassionate Weekend Nursing Supervisor (LPN/RN) to provide clinical leadership and oversee nursing operations during weekend shifts.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Florida-licensed RN or LPN with experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, restorative nursing, or geriatric care who enjoys leading a team and ensuring residents receive exceptional, safe, and compassionate care.

As Weekend Supervisor, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) to support staffing, clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and resident satisfaction.

What You'll Do
