Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an RN Float to support patient care on weekends (3 shifts of 12 hours, 7am-7pm) within the BSWH nursing practice model. The role emphasizes clinical judgment, collaboration with the care team, and safe patient transitions.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and implementing individualized care, and guiding learning for patients and staff. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates moving 50+ miles.

Qualifications

• RN with current Texas license (RN) and BLS certification.
• 2 years Med/Surg/Tele/ICU/ED experience preferred.
• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care using nursing process.
• Assess patients, identify nursing diagnoses, develop plans of care.
• Implement and evaluate patient care to meet outcomes.
• Delegate tasks according to the Texas Nursing Practice Act.
• Collaborate with health care team to ensure safe transfers and transitions.
• Document learning needs and participate in quality initiatives.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients, families and staff.
