Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Float to coordinate patient care using the nursing process, assess patients, identify diagnoses, and implement individualized plans of care within the Texas Nursing Practice Act framework.

The RN will delegate tasks, ensure safe passage through the healthcare encounter, and collaborate with the care team to prevent delays and complications while upholding professional standards.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing
• Nursing degree or diploma from accredited program
• Must have strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Coordinate patient care with health-care team and evaluate patient responses.
• Delegate tasks according to Texas Nursing Practice Act and staff competencies.
• Promote patient safety and comfort through evidence-based nursing practices.
• Facilitate learning for patients, families and staff while maintaining professional boundaries.
