Job summary

Firelands Regional Medical Center in Bellevue, OH is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for the Family Birthing Center, weekend-only 7a-7p. The role alternates weekends with on-site duties, including patient assessments, care planning, and discharge education.

Applicants must hold an Ohio RN license, CPR, and be prepared for NRP and Basic EKG within 6 months of hire. A supportive benefits package and 401(k) are offered along with tuition reimbursement options.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience.
• NRP and Basic EKG required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• Fetal Monitoring and Stable course required within 1 year.
• Board certification preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment
• Demonstrate service excellence and ACE – Attitude, Commitment, Enthusiasm. Act as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
