Job summary

Firelands Health is seeking a part-time RN for the Family Birthing Center in Bellevue, OH. The weekend shift runs 7am–7pm, with alternating weekends, on-site at Bellevue Hospital. The role emphasizes patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians and staff.

Qualified applicants hold an Ohio RN license with CPR, NRP and EKG within 6 months, and fetal monitoring skills. Aiming for 1 year of experience, with strong organizational and computer abilities, and a commitment to ACE values.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience.
• NRP and Basic EKG required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• Fetal Monitoring and Stable course required within 1 year.
• Board certification preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment
• Demonstrate service excellence and ACE – Attitude, Commitment, Enthusiasm. Act as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
