MaineGeneral Medical Center is actively hiring an experienced RN to join the Gray Birch care team as Weekend Charge Nurse. This role focuses on building meaningful relationships with residents in a collaborative long-term care setting.

You will support the Nurse Manager, supervise staff, and deliver direct patient care on weekends. A Maine RN license and strong clinical judgement are required, with opportunities for additional hours by adding a second RN role.

Formación

• Possess a current State of Maine RN license or ability to obtain one promptly.
• Demonstrate ability to seek resources independently and work collaboratively within a team.
• Previous RN experience, preferred.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential for this role.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during assigned shifts.
• Determines staffing level and assignments based on staff availability, census, and patient acuity.
• Provides direct patient care and evaluates effectiveness of care.
• Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.
• Performs admissions/discharges, enters orders, and coordinates transfers.
