Universal Health Services in San Marcos is seeking full-time Registered Nurses to work weekends with our adolescent population. Weekend shifts are Saturday and Sunday from 6 AM to 10 PM.

The RN provides physical assessments, implements treatment plans, administers medications, documents care, provides health education for patients and families, and serves as shift supervisor for Mental Health Techs and LVN staff, ensuring a safe, therapeutic milieu for young patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; 1 year psychiatric/neuropsychiatric experience with adolescents/young adults preferred.
• Current Texas RN license and a valid driver license.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to maintain confidentiality and organize care.

Responsabilités

• Provide physical assessments and implement treatment plans.
• Administer medications and document care.
• Supervise Mental Health Techs and LVN staff; ensure a safe, therapeutic milieu.
• Manage crises and clinical risk as part of the treatment team.
