Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks an RN Nights to provide comprehensive nursing care on the Adult/Adolescent/Women's units at Austin Oaks Hospital in Austin, TX. The role includes supervision of nursing staff, crisis management, and guidance to ensure high clinical standards and patient safety.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document assessments, and participate in discharge planning, while promoting service excellence and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas (or licensed in a compact state).
• One-year psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications.
• Must complete background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• State and Federal Office of the Inspector General check.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient admissions process, including nursing assessment.
• Document ongoing patient assessments/progress per hospital and regulatory standards.
• Administer medications and medical treatments as prescribed.
• Participate as member of interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Ensure nursing interventions and milieu management.
• Provide appropriate nursing intervention/documentation in crisis situations.
• Report unsafe conditions and promote teamwork and service excellence.
