Job summary

Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, a member of Empath Health, seeks an Admissions RN for Hillsborough County with travel across the service area (hospitals, homes, ALF, LTC). Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 10 AM–10 PM.

The Admissions RN assesses eligibility and completes admissions, while delivering compassionate, mission-driven care and facilitating access to the right care at the right time. The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered support, building strong relationships across care settings

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Florida license as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assess eligibility for Empath Health Network of Care and advocate for access to appropriate care in any setting.
• Complete the admission process based on care program specifics and patient needs.
• Demonstrate compassionate, mission-driven service and build strong internal and external relationships.

Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, a member of Empath Health is currently seeking a compassionate, caring and committed Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Hillsborough County with the ability to travel throughout the entire service area covering hospitals and the field (homes, ALF, LTC).

Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 10AM–10 PM

• The Admissions RN is a first responder who assesses eligibility for Empath Health Network of Care while advocating for optimal access to the right care at the right time in any care setting.

• The Admissions RN completes the admission process based on care program specifics, guidelines, and patient‑specific needs.

• This RN exhibits passion for the services we offer while engaging in mission support, and portrays excellence in customer service and relationship‑building internally and externally.

• Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Minimum of or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensure:
