Job summary

Kindred Hospital St. Louis South is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. Develops nursing care plans in coordination with patient, family, and interdisciplinary staff, and communicates changes to physicians and team members.

You will participate in discharge planning, supervise care, and ensure patient safety while delivering high-quality nursing services in a long-term acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary certificate, diploma, or program graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• RN licensure required upon hire; BCLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the standard of nursing care and implement hospital nursing department policies.
• Direct and supervise nursing care to patients.
• Document patient assessments, care plans, and related information in the medical record.
• Administer medications using the five rights of medication administration.
• Assist with discharge planning and interdisciplinary coordination.
