Job summary

Kindred Hospital St. Louis South is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care following the nursing process. You will coordinate care with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary staff, and participate in discharge planning.

You will assess patient needs, administer medications safely, educate patients and families, and contribute to care plans and interdepartmental collaboration.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state or compact state (Required).
• BCLS certification (Required).
• Six months of Medical/Surgical nursing experience (Preferred).
• Fluent English with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and update nursing care plans with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and team.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Administer medications following the five rights and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with other departments to support patient care.
• Provide teaching and guidance to patients and families.
