Job summary

Legacy at Town Creek in Palestine, TX is seeking a dedicated nurse (RN or LPN) to join a caring team. You will collaborate with the Medical Director and attending physician, evaluate residents, and help plan nursing services under strong leadership, with emphasis on growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Conferring with the Medical Director and attending physician regarding residents assigned to you.
• Consulting with the physician regarding resident evaluation and assisting the DON in planning nursing services for residents.
• Helping your team members grow their careers and changing lives in the process.
• Examining residents and their records to distinguish normal from abnormal findings and recognize early signs of problems.
• Performing administrative duties for assigned residents, including completing medical forms, reports and charting.

What You’ll be Doing

• Conferring with the Medical Director and the attending physician regarding specific residents assigned to you.
• Consulting with the physician concerning resident evaluation and assist the Director of Nursing in planning and developing the nursing services to be performed for the resident.

• Examining residents and their records and charts to distinguish between normal and abnormal findings in order to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional or mental problems.
• Performing administrative duties regarding assigned residents, such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
