Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. You will evaluate and treat residents independently, with a focus on geriatric care and functional outcomes.

Expect a standing schedule of 4-6 hour shifts, up to 8 hours per shift depending on caseload, with weekend coverage on Saturdays and Sundays. State licensure (RRT/CRT) and CPR certification are required to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and implement respiratory therapies for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation; attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheostomy and long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures; track caseload and perform audits.
• Administer oxygen weaning, airway clearance techniques, CPAP/BIPAP.
• Provide pulmonary and cardio-pulmonary care; CPR as needed.
