Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a geriatric, skilled nursing team. The RT will evaluate and treat residents independently, perform bedside therapies, operate respiratory equipment, and participate in department education and protocol adherence.

The ideal candidate will hold an AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy, be licensed as RRT/CRT in the state, and possess BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Document daily, weekly, and monthly activities; attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheostomy and in long-term care settings.
