Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled nursing facility team. The RT will evaluate and treat geriatric residents, perform bedside respiratory procedures, and participate in daily documentation and quarterly in-services.

The role requires licensure in the practicing state, COARC-accredited education, and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams including IDTs, with emphasis on therapy progression and protocol adherence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility.
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management.
