Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing in Oak Hill, TN is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our Skilled Nursing team. The role requires licensure, independent evaluation and treatment, and a passion for geriatric care.

Expect to perform a variety of respiratory therapies and bedside procedures to support residents’ progress. The RT will participate in interdisciplinary care planning, document meticulously, and contribute to quarterly nursing staff in-services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques to maintain and progress rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and check equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments and in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and policy, track and manage caseload.
• Described in the Departmental Policy and Procedure Manual across respiratory interventions.
