Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing in Tennessee is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The role requires an active state license (RRT or CRT), BLS, and a passion for geriatric care.

The schedule includes 4-6 hour shifts, potential up to 8, with Saturday and Sunday coverage. You will perform assessments, initiate therapies, document thoroughly, and participate in IDT meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed to practice in the state; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and applies respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation and participate in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheostomy and long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures and perform caseload management.
• Described in policy areas: oxygen weaning, IPPB, chest physiotherapy, spirometry bedside testing.
• Tracheostomy care and CPAP/BIPAP support; pulmonary programs included.
