Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join its skilled nursing team in Tennessee. The RT will independently evaluate and treat residents, perform respiratory therapies, maintain documentation, and participate in quarterly nursing staff trainings.

The ideal candidate holds a COARC-accredited AS/BS in Respiratory Therapy, a Tennessee license as RRT/CRT, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different respiratory illnesses/diseases and non-respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience in a long-term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
