Job summary

The Encore at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center seeks a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will assess, plan and deliver respiratory therapies for geriatric residents, maintaining records and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

The role requires state licensure, BLS, and ability to work independently with a passion for geriatric care. Responsibilities include bedside treatments, oxygen therapy, airway management, and collaboration with the IDT.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed in the state.
• Current BLS certification and ability to practice autonomously.
• Experience in long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory assessments and initiates therapies as prescribed.
• Maintain patient records and document daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
• Operate, check and assemble respiratory equipment; assist with bedside treatments.
• Provide oxygen therapy, airway management, and suctioning as needed.
• Participate in IDT meetings and ensure compliance with facility protocols.
• Support nursing staff through in-services and caseload management.
