Job summary

The Encore at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will evaluate and treat residents independently, perform diverse bedside therapies, and support geriatric care in a structured facility.

Responsibilities include assessments, therapy initiation, documentation, and collaboration with nursing staff. Florida license (RRT/CRT) and BLS are required; weekend shifts are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state where practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and implement therapies for residents with varied respiratory and non-respiratory conditions.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Deliver bedside treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and airway management.
• Provide periodic in-services for nursing staff and complete daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
• Attend IDT meetings and participate in caseload tracking, auditing and documentation.
• Work with residents who have tracheotomy or tracheostomy care requirements; support long-term care goals.
