Job summary

The Encore at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric rehab team on weekends. The role requires independent assessment, therapy initiation, and patient care within a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities include bedside treatments, documentation, and participation in IDT meetings. Licensure as RRT/CRT and COARC-accredited education are mandatory, with BLS certification and Florida licensure in good standing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiates therapies, maintains patient records, and operates equipment.
• Performs bedside treatments including oxygen, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, airway management, and CPCR.
• Completes nursing staff in-services and daily documentation; attends IDT meetings.
