Job summary

Community Health Resources (CHR) is seeking a part-time Residential Aide for Roots to Recovery in Willimantic, CT. The role runs Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, supporting a 24/7 residential treatment program for men in recovery.

The job requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid certification (or within 90 days). Compensation ranges from $19.28 to $27.98 per hour, with benefits available for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Human Services with responsible work history.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• CPR & First Aid Certification required OR must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains physical environment and program standards to CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO and any other licensing standard.
• Monitors medications of all residents in accordance with the Adult residential medication policy and procedure.
• Effectively utilizes appropriate communication methods/tools to transfer information to other staff regarding the day’s events.
• Teaches and assists all residents in areas of rehab including: nutrition and healthy living, meal preparation, hygiene, laundry, banking and budgeting, and basic home care skills.
• Assists/Manages administrative functions and tasks at the direction of the supervisor.
• Prepares and facilitates educational and skill building groups and one to one interventions as directed by the treatment plan.
