Job summary

CHR is seeking a Residential Aide for Roots to Recovery in Willimantic, CT. This full-time position supports residents with daily living activities, monitors medications, and assists in treatment planning within a 24/7 residential program.

The role offers Sunday-Thursday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM shifts, 40 hours per week, with comprehensive benefits and a path for professional growth within CHR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in Human Services with responsible work history.
• Valid driver’s license is required with good driving record.
• CPR & First Aid certification is required or must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains physical environment and program standards.
• Monitors medications of all residents.
• Transfers information to staff using effective communication methods.
• Teaches and assists residents in rehab areas: nutrition, healthy living, meal prep, hygiene, budgeting, home care skills.
• Assists/Manages administrative tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Prepares and facilitates educational and skill-building groups and one-to-one interventions.
• Coordinates care with providers and families as needed.
• Assists residents with medical and psychiatric needs.
• Maintains documentation per agency standards.
• Participates in staff meetings, trainings and other meetings.
