Job summary

Community Health Resources (CHR) seeks a Residential Aide for Roots to Recovery in Willimantic, CT. This full-time role supports a 24/7 residential program for men, with structured activities and medication monitoring.

The position requires a high school diploma, human services experience, a valid driver’s license, and CPR/First Aid training (or within 90 days). Competitive benefits and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Experience in Human Services with responsible work history.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license required with good driving record.
• Training: CPR & First Aid Certification required OR must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains physical environment and program standards to CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO and licensing standards.
• Monitors medications of all residents in accordance with policy.
• Transfers information to staff about day’s events.
• Teaches and assists residents in rehab areas: nutrition, healthy living, meal prep, hygiene, budgeting, and home care skills.
• Assists/Manages administrative tasks.
• Prepares and facilitates educational groups and interventions.
• Collaborates with providers and families as needed.
• Assists residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs.
• Maintains documentation per agency standards.
• Participates in meetings, trainings and supervision.
• Additional duties as required.
