Job summary

Community Health Resources (CHR) is seeking a Residential Aide for Roots to Recovery in Willimantic, CT. The part-time, 16-hour/week role operates on Saturdays and Sundays, 11:00pm–7:00am, within a 24/7 residential treatment program for men.

Responsibilities include maintaining the living environment, supervising medications, and facilitating group activities aligned with the treatment plan. A high school diploma and driver’s license are required, with CPR/First Aid certification due within 90

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Human Services with responsible work history.
• CPR & First Aid Certification required OR must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains physical environment and program standards to CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO and licensing standards.
• Monitors medications of all residents in accordance with policy.
• Communicates day’s events to staff using appropriate methods/tools.
• Teaches and assists residents in rehab areas: nutrition, healthy living, meal prep, hygiene, budgeting, and basic home care.
• Assists/manages administrative functions as directed by supervisor.
• Prepares and facilitates educational and skill-building groups and one-to-one interventions per treatment plan.
• Collaborates with providers and families as needed.
• Assists residents with medical and psychiatric needs.
• Maintains documentation per agency standards.
• Participates in staff meetings, trainings, and related duties.
