Job summary

CHR in Willimantic, CT is seeking a Residential Aide for Roots to Recovery. The role is part-time (16 hours/week) with Saturday and Sunday shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, supporting a 24/7 residential program for men in recovery.

You will help maintain the living environment, monitor medications, and assist residents with skills like budgeting, nutrition, and daily living. A valid driver's license and CPR/First Aid certification (or within 90 days) are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Human Services with responsible work history.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• CPR & First Aid Certification required OR must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains physical environment and program standards.
• Monitors medications of all residents.
• Transfers information to staff using appropriate communication methods.
• Teaches recovery skills: nutrition, healthy living, hygiene, budgeting, and basic home care.
• Supports administrative tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Prepares and facilitates educational groups and individual interventions.
• Coordinates care with providers and families as needed.
