Job summary

Front Range Community College (FRCC) is seeking a Substitute Reference Librarian for the Westminster Campus. The role involves providing reference and circulation services to FRCC and Westminster Public Library patrons, and stepping in as in-charge when full-time librarians are unavailable.

The position requires a Master’s in Library and Information Science (or within 6 months of hire) and experience in reference and circulation in either public or academic libraries. Weekend shifts are common.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science is required or must be earned within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in reference and circulation in either a public or academic library setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide reference and circulation services to FRCC and Westminster Public Library patrons.
• Serve as person in charge when full-time librarians unavailable; may supervise work-study students.
• Assist with daily library operations and handle reference and circulation transactions.
• Manage the library floor in the absence of full-time FRCC Librarians.
