Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking to fill a part-time, hourly Librarian Pool to support reference services and instruction. This pool is used for as-needed assignments and includes evening and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library Science or Information Science.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of the library reference interview and search strategies.

Responsibilities

• Staff the Reference Desk and assist patrons with reference questions and search strategies.
• Provide Library instruction to classes and customize content for the class.
• Provide Outreach services to market the Library and increase awareness of the Libraries’ mission.
• Night and/or weekend shifts may be assigned; other duties may be assigned.
