Job summary

University of the Cumberlands seeks a Part-Time Evening and Weekend Reference Librarian to support reference services in the evenings and on weekends. The Reference Librarian reports to the Director of the Library and handles reference assistance via phone and virtual channels.

Responsibilities include developing research guides, tutorials, and participating in resource-sharing and library initiatives; prior success in library instruction is desirable.

Qualifications

• MLS or equivalent degree from an ALA accredited program.
• Experience providing reference services to students and faculty.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide evening and weekend reference and research assistance via virtual channels.
• Develop, review, and maintain research guides and tutorials.
• Provide library instruction and research support for courses as needed.
• Support resource-sharing services and resolve access issues.
