Qualifications

• Certification in Diagnostic Radiology with ARRT is required.
• State licensure preferred depending on location.
• BLS certification required at hire or prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and lab work for licensed practitioner use.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to optimize image quality.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Operates imaging equipment to perform radiographic procedures.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure docs.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic procedures and aseptic technique.
