Job summary

Mercy Health's Fairfield Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist (Harmonized) to perform diagnostic imaging under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. This role emphasizes patient safety, accurate imaging, and efficient workflow.

The ideal candidate has ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology and BLS, with preferred state licensure. Experience with EPIC EHR and PACS is a plus. Mercy Health offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ARRT Diagnostic Radiology certification (required)
• State licensure (preferred)
• BLS certification at hire (required for some Mercy locations)

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient clinical history and ensure lab information is documented for licensed practitioners.
• Position and immobilize patient to optimize the area of interest and respect patient comfort.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patient and staff.
• Operate imaging equipment to perform radiographic procedures.
• Verify informed consent and complete pre/post-procedure documentation.
• Assist licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures; apply aseptic technique as needed.
• Perform timeout as required by policy.
• Identify and prepare medications/contrast as prescribed.
