Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring accuracy in positioning, image quality, and patient safety. The role includes patient transport, data entry for charges, and coordinating with physicians and staff to support efficient workflow.

The candidate should hold an active IEMA license, have knowledge of general diagnostic radiology, and be capable of ARRT certification within one year of employment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of positioning and technique factors as in Merrill’s Directory
• Able to perform all common radiologic procedures
• ARRT Registry within one year employment
• IEMA License (required)

Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic equipment and adjust technical factors to optimize image quality and minimize dose.
• Position patients, set up, and assist with immobilization as needed.
• Verify patient identity per protocol and document exams for interpretation.
• Communicate with patients and staff using AIDET and provide explanations for delays or test times.
• Perform data entry for exam charges and ensure correct scheduling and radiologist interpretation.
