Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist for The Jewish Hospital to perform diagnostic radiology under authorized user supervision. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate imaging, and adherence to radiation protection principles.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology, state licensure (preferred), and BLS; experience with RIS/PACS is preferred. This on-site position offers a sign-on bonus and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology required.
• State licensure preferred, depending on state.
• BP?LS Basic Life Support required at hire for certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient clinical history and labs for licensed practitioner.
• Position and immobilize patient to demonstrate area of interest.
• Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Perform radiographic procedures with imaging equipment and accessories.
• Verify informed consent and complete pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assist licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography; aseptic technique.
• Perform timeout per policy.
• Identify, prepare and/or administer medications/contrast as prescribed.
